Bezzera Magica PID Espresso Machine Rosewood

Bezzera Magica PID Overview

The Bezzera Magica PID in rosewood is a classically designed heat exchanger espresso machine, decked out in beautifully polished stainless steel with the addition of natural rosewood accenting. Its 2 liter copper boiler conducts heat quickly, and being a HX machine you can brew and steam simultaneously. With a wide frame that supports multiple cups and a massive 4 liter water reservoir make the Magica PID an ideal machine for entertaining.

Features and Performance

The Magica PID’s 2 liter copper boiler and E61 group ensure temperature stability throughout the brewing process. The inclusion of a PID controller helps to prevent swings in boiler temperatures and allows you to make changes on the fly from the exterior of the machine. As with all heat exchanger machines, you can brew and steam simultaneously, so whether your making a solo drink in the morning before work, or entertaining multiple guests, the Magica PID is ready to pull double duty.

On the outside, the Magica PID flaunts elegant rosewood accents on the steam and hot water taps, E61 lever, and portafilters. The iconic E61 group with the Bezzera portafilters, steam and hot water joysticks, dual pressure gauges, and of course the iconic Biscione logo make for a timeless aesthetic. Not a small machine, the Magica PID’s wide drip tray provides ample space for cups, while the cup warmer itself has plenty of room for cappuccino/latte drinkware.

Espresso is brewed with a traditional vibration pump with a more gradual ramp up to full brew pressure. Unlike most home machines, the reservoir on the Magica PID holds 4 liters of water, making refills less frequent than usual.

We Love our new expresó machine,We can make real expresó with this machine and The delivery was really quick and the company packed our Bezzera with Love. Thank you HARFAN COFFEE for you great service always.

For context, we came from using a Gaggia Classic Pro that I had added all sorts of mods (PID that acted as an automated timed shot, IMS Screen and baskets, OPV springs to change the brew pressure and other upgrades) so when it came to upgrading I wanted to get something close to what we were used to

This machine doesn’t have a timer or aRead more about review stating Amazing.utomation outside of just the heat regulation, but that was fixed by just using an Acaia Lunar scale and bottomless portafilter. The shots that were pulled taste amazing once we got them dialed in were consistent back to back.

The steam pressure is amazing. There’s no shortage of it on tap for any of our needs. The hot water on tap is a little too hot for my taste but I’d rather have my water hotter than just tepid.

The cup warming tray is phenomenal. After about 15 minutes of warm up, the cups are far warmer than what I’ve ever experienced before.

The lever, and joystick controls are all just simply amazing to use and feel super premium with the wood accents.

Oh and only having to fill the reservoir once a week? Yeah…. That’s worth the price of admission alone. Lol

All in all, a phenomenal machine to have. I dialed down the pressure to 10 bar and it’s been amazing ever since. At some point I’ll install a flow control valve but for now, stock as it is, it’s a phenomenal machine and you can’t go wrong with this one!

The Bezzera Magica PID exceeded my wildest expectations. First off, it’s a 68 lb solidly built beast with no visible plastic. High quality materials from top to bottom. I upgraded from a fully modded Gaggia Classic Pro. And what an upgrade! The first shot out of this machine blew my mind. The first shot had a brightness and complexity of flavor I Read more about review stating Exceeded Expectationswas never quite able to coax from my GPC – and this shot wasn’t even fully dialed in. I’m looking forward to experimenting with brew temp and flow control.
