Ceado E92 Electronic Conical Burr Espresso Grinder
Owning the Ceado E92 Espresso Grinder
The Ceado E92 pumps up the volume with its automatic single and double shot dosing and manual push and grind functionality. All the design elements one comes to expect from the brand are present in this model, plus a few tweaks for higher performance. Ceado’s See and Set system provides markers on the grind collar, so, even though it’s stepless, you have an idea of how far to turn to adjust for fine espresso all the way down to coarse french press. In a high volume environment, however, such operation isn’t very practical; so, we recommend using a separate grinder for any coarse brew methods in a cafe. The coffee chute has undergone a redesign, and Ceado’s Static & Clumping Control System ensures that coffee flows freely down said chute into the portafilter. Though the E92 is one of the largest in their line, Ceado specially designed it as a low speed grinder. They did so to avoid overheating the grounds and thus stripping them of important flavor characteristics. Don’t worry about the grinder being slow to use, though, it’s large 71mm conical burrs grind up coffee quickly and consistently.
As with all of Ceado’s grinders, the E92 features their innovative Steady Lock Burr System, which keeps burrs locked into place a set distance apart. This makes the particle size of the grounds extremely consistent; meaning, once you’ve got it dialed in, your shots will be too. The best part? You never have to calibrate this style of burr after cleaning, which, honestly, we love because now there isn’t an excuse to put off cleaning. In all, the E92 is yet another stunner from Ceado, and its NSF approval makes it feel right at home in any commercial environment. If you prefer a grinder with flat burrs and a higher speed motor, the E37T is a great alternative; or, for added programmability options, take a look at the E37S.

I’ve had the E92 for a bit over 4 years for home use. I’ve previously owned a few low end consumer grinders. My dissatisfaction with this grinder is growing over time for the following reasons:
– the grind setting has a very small dial range. if you like to alternate between light and dark roast beans the range isn’t enough to fine tune bRead more about I’ve had the E92 for a bit over 4oth beans without the need to open up the top and use a screw driver to adjust the grind range.
– if you like to alternate between grinding for espresso and grinding for drip coffee forget it. You would also need to keep on adjusting the grind dial range with a screw driver and then dial accordingly.
– sometimes the machine chokes on light roasted beans. I’d have to open it up and loosen the beans from under the burrs with a ranch.
The machine is built like a tank and seems to have a quality burr. And as advertised the RPM is low, in order to reduce the impact of friction heat altering the taste of the beans. All good. But because of the above reasons this is not a machine I would recommend for a home use where the bean as well as grind variety may differ from day to day.

I bought the Ceado E92 and E37s about 6 months ago for our coffee shop Letha Mae’s Bakery & Cafe from Mark Jackson at HarfanCoffe.com and I’m very pleased with the quality and I got a great deal on them.
I’ve had other coffee shop owners and/or roasters in the store use it and everyone is impressed with them.
I would recommeRead more about I bought the Ceado E92 and E37s aboutnd this to anyone in the market for a new grinder.
PS. the E37s is a great grinder but I contemplated only using the E37s but glad I didn’t I don’t think it would be able to keep up with our demand on its own.

I’ve been using this machine for a few days now and I have to say it’s amazing. It was a bit out of my initial budget; but I’m glad I pulled the trigger. The HarfanCoffee.com crew was amazing and the service was great.
PROS: This thing is built like a tank, I’m not sure I’ll ever need another grinder. The grinds are consistent and amazinglRead more about review stating Amazing machiney “fluffy.” The anti-static system on this thing does a great job of eliminating any clumping; even at the finest setting. It’s quick and quiet. You do get what you pay for in this instance. It’s tall; I was lucky to have a tall spot under my counter-tops for it; but you could get the short hopper.
CONS: I’ve only found two and both are only issues for consumer/home use. The first is the fan. In a commercial setting I bet it’s necessary to keep things cool. In a home with light use, it’s just loud. However, I simply unplugged the fan and it runs fine. The second very minor issue is that it takes a lot of amps just sitting idle so I don’t leave it on. I fixed this with a zwave outlet in my case, but you could use a timer.

What do you like best about this product?
The build quality is amazing.
Do you have any helpful tips for using this product?
Disable the fan for home use; it would be nice if Ceado would put an option for that in the firmware.

I own a La Marcocco GS3 and was looking for a grinder to match it. I have low cabinet clearance. I have owned the Ceado E92 for about 2 years. It has been modified to fit under my cabinets and do single dosing. I can say without hesitation that is the finest grinder I have ever owned, produces exceptional espresso and is a breeze to clean without Read more about review stating Home espresso affecionadolosing the grind settings. It is one of the best investments I have ever made. I matches the Mazzer Robur in a smaller footprint. It is pricey but worth it…

Very large, very heavy, very fast, very quiet. Using as single dose and had retention problem until I went to Advance Auto and got a pinion boot bellows DW K9320.
