Owning the Compak K-3 Elite Espresso Grinder
The K-3 Elite is a commercial-grade stepless coffee grinder especially designed for hotels, restaurants and domestic use. Made entirely of aluminum, the K-3 is ideal for small batch, professional ground coffee. With 58mm burrs, the Elite is ideal for catering and home use. The K-3 Elite employs an aluminum Uni-body housing, commercial-grade 58mm burr grinder and automatic dosing of ground coffee. An aluminum tamper is connected to the doser. Since this is a stepless grinder, the burrs can be adjusted to achieve an infinite range of grind fineness levels. The hopper holds 10 ounces of coffee beans and the dispensing chute is easy to clean. (Optional 1.75 pound hopper available for purchase.)
As with all Compak grinders, the K-3 Elite utilizes a mounted motor, wherein the motor is not fused with the housing. If the motor breaks down, it can be replaced without replacing the whole grinder. The mounted motor also makes for quieter grinding, and most importantly, less heat transferred to the coffee grinds.

I never knew I needed it, but the automatic dosing and direct grinding into portafilter are lifechangers! Dose amount is always consistent within +/- 0.2g and it’s fast. Grinding is also very neat as it doesn’t spray grounds all over my workspace.

New to high end grinders and I was hoping for just one more level in grind size on the coarser end. Great for espresso, aero press, and pour over, but it’s too fine for French press. Otherwise totally satisfied.
