Plus, the Dinamica’s tubeless grinding chamber and conical steel burrs make sure retention is low, and every drink comes from fresh ground coffee instead of yesterday’s grinds. I bought this machine a couple of days ago after returning a different brand. The other had a bean hopper, but I found filling the portafilter to be a messy job. No matter what there were wasted grins because it funneled poorly, and the double shot basket to pull was hit and miss. So after three weeks I exchanged it for this lovely thing.

I am so happy with my choice. Things I notice are that:
1. No more mess!
2. No more waste due to that mess.
3. The coffee pucks that drop in the basket are smaller than with the previous, meaning it requires fewer grinds to make the same drinks.
4. The texture of the pucks is perfect with a slight wet and very little if any water in the receptacle.
Now to the flavor… I thought my former Americanos were good but THIS?? The Long menu makes the dreamiest Italian brewed coffee that is smooth and creamy. It feels velvety in the mouth and has the depth of flavor without any note of espresso bitterness. This is a drink I can enjoy black right out of the spout.
Water is extremely easy to add to the mug if what I want is a double shot Americano. Just aim the water nozzle and voila. This is seriously some GREAT tasting coffee my son and I have made in the last three days.
Frothing is easy and quick but I have yet to explore the wonders of the variable steam for degree of foam. This is gonna be fun!
