ECM Synchronika Espresso Machine Anthracite

ECM Synchronika Overview

ECM is about refinement and top-of-the-line build quality and the ECM Synchronika has been a credit to their mission ever since it arrived on the market. The upgraded PID and discreet improvements to the prosumer-class machine really elevate what you can do with an espresso machine. Your shots will be exquisite, and the 2 bar of steam power you’ll have at your disposal is nothing short of intense.

Features and Performance

Less obvious advantages can be found in the iconic E61 brew group, which ECM has updated with stainless-steel internal components as well as a single top cap for a decidedly cleaner aesthetic that other machines lack. These stainless-steel internals add much greater durability and resistance to calcium build-up for more straightforward maintenance. When plumbed in, you can take advantage of longer, low-pressure pre-infusion which let you bring out the more unique flavor notes in specialty coffee.

5 reviews for ECM Synchronika Espresso Machine Anthracite

  1. Andres Koppel

I spent close to a year researching pro-sumer espresso machines while limping along on an older dual boiler that produced okay espresso for over 12 years. I had bookmarked HARFAN COFFEE several years ago as I enjoyed their large selection of videos on everything espresso. Marc’s enthusiasm and knowledge of the ECM Synchronika machine along withRead more about review stating ECM Synchronika is on a level of its own. the videos of EMC’s production facilities finally convinced me that the EMC Synchronika was what I had been looking for. After ordering, shipment from the East Coast to Washington State, was surprisingly quick. After placing the machine on my kitchen island its construction and beauty are amazing. My first couple of espresso’s were not spectacular as it took a few times to learn the Synchronika work flow process. Now that I’ve had it for almost two weeks I’m more than pleased with the results. What I really like about the ECM: the upgraded headgroup, steam and hot water valves, pressure gages mounted at top of the front panel, no burn steam wand and hot water despensor, the rotatorary pump, and it’s quality construction. My shots continue to improve daily as I’m relearning my work flow processes from grinding to steaming by watching Marc’s how-to videos. My Synchronika is a pleasure to use and a beauty to look at. I’m very pleased with my purchase and look forward to many years of producing exceptional espressos and lattes.

I was looking to upgrade from a Breville Oracle and wanted a quality machine that would give me more control over my espresso. After much searching and agonizing I landed on the ECM Synchronika. I couldn’t be happier with it. The build quality is superb and the machine is gorgeous. I was a little hesitant about the anthracite but when I uncovered Read more about review stating Gorgeous well-built machineit I was extremely happy with my choice. The anthracite has a sparkle to it that pictures just don’t do justice. Also, shout out to HFC. Their sales rep (sorry I forget her name) was very helpful with my order. They shipped it promptly and in a well protected box so the machine arrived unscathed.

Now I just have to improve my technique to match the capabilities of the machine.

  3. Indrek Karu

Definitely a commercial quality machine built for home use. Initial setup had a glitch in filling the boilers. I hit too many buttons on the PID and had to reset, but HFC has a video gif that too. The decision was between this and the Profitec 700. This has a removable drip tray, which is handy.

  4. Andrei Leppik

I went from a one touch Gaggia Cadorna to this and so far I am really happy with that decision. The build and material quality are completely deserved. I am just in the early stages of learning how to use this gear but having so much fun! I’ve now made many bad espressos and a few that I liked – it’s great to be able to taste the difference and I Read more about review stating I really Like This So Farhope I get better so that I can consistently make espresso that I can enjoy.

  5. Alexander Lepp

Early days – but the machine makes tremendous expresso . Foaming is also noticeably better. Built like a tank and finished beautifully. The shots are noticeably and consistently better than breville dual boiler that I had been using. I hoping that unlike the breville dual boiler that this machine will be long lasting .

E61 head lives up Read more about review stating Early days – but theto its reputation . Flow control is fun to use and the central dial gauge gives direct feedback.

Plumbing the machine to water supply and drain will increase morning joy….

Coffee at home now considerably better than most expresso joints
