Eureka Mignon Silenzio Overview
The Eureka Mignon Silenzio is an all purpose grinder with simple manual controls a series of subtle features under the hood.
Features and Performance
For those controls, the Mignon Silenzio uses a push-button to switch between timed and manual modes, and a dial for adjusting grind time. It’s a quiet grinder, measuring in at about 73 dBA, so you won’t ever need to stop a conversation to make your drinks. It brings Eureka’s patented micrometric adjustment, so you expect smooth, stepless adjustments when dialing in the grind.
For performance, it’s equipped with 50 mm flat hardened steel burrs and a strong 1350 RPM motor. Eureka’s ACE system helps prevent clumping by eliminating static in ground coffee, which in turn ensures dose consistency.
Why You Should Get It
The Mignon Silenzio does exactly what it’s name suggests; it grinds very quietly, and it does so efficiently. The micrometric grind adjustment knob is one of the easiest ways to make very fine changes to grind size that we’ve experienced, as well. Very heavy and feels well built. The hopper and port handle are cheaper plastic. The grinder is rather quiet and does a good job of grinding. The timer switch and button again feel rather cheap. The grinding function and chrome case seem to be superior quality “mixed” with rather cheap accessories. The knob that adjust the grind feels great with a heavy resistance giving the impression that stepless grinding is indeed happening but when you turn the knob for the timer you immediately feel as though you are adjusting a kids toy. It is a weird combination like you are buying a Cadillac Escalade the has roll up windows and vinyl seats.

Highly recommended. The machine is very well built. It is heavy and built like a tank, and you can instantly tell this is a high quality product. It is made in Italy and is like the Ferrari of grinders. It is very quiet, produces a perfect grind and is beautifully designed.

I wanted a quiet espresso grinder and I definitely got one! The Silenzio lives up to its name, can barely hear it upstairs and definitely doesn’t wake up the family.
The grind adjustment is easy to use and has a large adjustment range. I just use it for espresso, but wonder what else it can do.

No complaints whatsoever. This machine is full of quality all the ay through. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for our beach house. I know there are much more expensive grinders out there, but I don’t know what the extra cost would get you.
