Eureka Mignon Specialita Espresso Grinder in Blue
Eureka Mignon Specialita Overview
The Eureka Mignon Specialità is an all purpose grinder with 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs that give it the highest output in Eureka’s Mignon range. The touch screen display is a stand out feature for a grinder so small, making adjustment as easy as it should be. With its larger burrs, the Mignon Specialità can produce up to 1.8g of coffee per second for espresso, meaning it can produce a barista quality 18g double shot in as little as 10 seconds.
Features and Performance
First of all—the touch screen. We’re thrilled with how intuitive it is. It’s vibrant, with a large font size and clean controls. Grind time is adjustable in tenths of a second using the “+” and “-” buttons, and you can freely switch between single and double shots. Also, you can switch to a manual mode for continuous grinding, or lock in your timed settings to keep other people from fiddling.
For performance, it’s equipped with 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs and a strong 1350 RPM motor with an output of 1.4 – 1.8g/s for espresso and 1.9 – 2.5g/s for brew. Eureka’s ACE system helps prevent clumping by eliminating static in ground coffee, which in turn ensures dose consistency.
It’s quiet, measuring in at about 73 dBA, so you won’t ever need to stop a conversation to make your drinks. It brings Eureka’s patented micrometric adjustment, so you expect smooth, stepless adjustments when dialing in the grind. Plus, the portafilter holder fork is adjustable to work with any portafilter on the market.
Why You Should Get It
The Mignon Specialta is a superb espresso grinder, with it’s quiet grinding and touchscreen controls. The micrometric grind adjustment knob is one of the easiest ways to make very fine changes to grind size that we’ve experienced, as well. Plus, with a height of under 14 inches, this coffee and espresso grinder will fit just about anywhere. If you’re looking for a compact, espresso-focused grinder, this is the one for you.

Clean, attractive, easy to use, quiet, can set exact grind and dose for one or two shot pull. Love the squared off coffee holder.

So far so good!! Smaller footprint than I thought which is nice. I got the Tiffany blue which looks exactly like the photo! Love it. My shots have changed pretty dramatically already.

I love my new Specialita. What an amazing upgrade. I am having tons of fun dialling in my espresso. The touch screen, grind size selector, and PF holder are wonderful. This thing is massive. It’s a challenge lifting with one hand. It feels like a gym weight.

Love the grinder, extremely precise, as every small turn makes a change! It is noticeable between different beans. My only wish is that there will be a tray to go with it since it comes without one, and one sure is needed:) Highly recommend!

This is super easy to use and makes very consistent grinds. Very smooth and quiet, and I like being able to set the dose to a tenth of a second. Deducted a star because the adjustment knob is tiny and I can see it would be very difficult to return to this particular setting if I swapped to a different coffee or brew method then wanted to come backRead more about review stating Great, consistent grinds. Would be tough to switch coffees or methods. I don’t think that would be very repeatable. I don’t need to move mine much though now so if you’re not changing coffees or methods often I would say this is a fantastic option. Pro tip, if you adjust it too much at once it will not grind so as to protect the burrs, I guess. If it ever seems to die after an adjustment, back it up a little closer to the last setting and try again.

It’s great. Had a Rancilio Rocky for many years, thought it was fine, till it was not, and this is really a big step up.

Very smooth grinder! I have this set up strictly as my espresso grinder, and I am impressed in the few weeks I have had it. Very easy to single does and dial in your shots. And I love the available color choices. So well built and looks great on the counter. Oh yes almost forgot, it’s super quiet!

Just a super grinder. Takes a few cracks to get the timer setting dialed, as one would expect, and it works really well once set up. Not cheap, but a great step up from my Rancillio and I’m really digging the no clumps.
