Eureka Mignon Specialita Espresso Grinder in Orange
Eureka Mignon Specialita Overview
The Eureka Mignon Specialità is an all purpose grinder with 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs that give it the highest output in Eureka’s Mignon range. The touch screen display is a stand out feature for a grinder so small, making adjustment as easy as it should be. With its larger burrs, the Mignon Specialità can produce up to 1.8g of coffee per second for espresso, meaning it can produce a barista quality 18g double shot in as little as 10 seconds.
Features and Performance
First of all—the touch screen. We’re thrilled with how intuitive it is. It’s vibrant, with a large font size and clean controls. Grind time is adjustable in tenths of a second using the “+” and “-” buttons, and you can freely switch between single and double shots. Also, you can switch to a manual mode for continuous grinding, or lock in your timed settings to keep other people from fiddling.
For performance, it’s equipped with 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs and a strong 1350 RPM motor with an output of 1.4 – 1.8g/s for espresso and 1.9 – 2.5g/s for brew. Eureka’s ACE system helps prevent clumping by eliminating static in ground coffee, which in turn ensures dose consistency.
It’s quiet, measuring in at about 73 dBA, so you won’t ever need to stop a conversation to make your drinks. It brings Eureka’s patented micrometric adjustment, so you expect smooth, stepless adjustments when dialing in the grind. Plus, the portafilter holder fork is adjustable to work with any portafilter on the market.
Why You Should Get It
The Mignon Specialta is a superb espresso grinder, with it’s quiet grinding and touchscreen controls. The micrometric grind adjustment knob is one of the easiest ways to make very fine changes to grind size that we’ve experienced, as well. Plus, with a height of under 14 inches, this coffee and espresso grinder will fit just about anywhere. If you’re looking for a compact, espresso-focused grinder, this is the one for you.

Purchased this to replace a Mazzer Mini which served me well for many years (and has many years of service still left in it.) It just came time to improve my workflow. The Mazzer is a workhorse but it made somewhat of a mess with grounds all over the counter, not to mention wasted grounds sitting in its dispenser after dosing a shot.
WhaRead more about review stating A Gem of a Dosing Grindert I needed was a dosing grinder and the Specialita meets that need perfectly.
– It seems well built;
– it is consistent in grind quality and amount dispensed from shot to shot. No waste;
– it is very quiet (as compared to the Mazzer);
– its small size makes it a good fit on a counter under a cabinet;
– its electronic controls make for great flexibility;
– it does not create a mess around the counter. (Very important b/c it keeps the wife happy!);
– it comes in many colors if that’s a consideration.
The one potential negative for me that I’ve read about (but that I’ve not yet encountered b/c it’s too new) is that it will require more frequent cleaning than I ever had to do with the Mazzer. And cleaning the Specialita requires essentially disassembling the various components of the machine. The Mazzer was much simpler.
That aside, I’m very happy with it, and with HarfanCoffee fulfillment of my order, and am looking forward to many years of service from it.

Very quiet, has a lot of cool settings, and the color options are cool too.

Just a super grinder. Takes a few cracks to get the timer setting dialed, as one would expect, and it works really well once set up. Not cheap, but a great step up from my Rancillio and I’m really digging the no clumps.

I can’t believe how quiet it is! Easy to operate, easy to make minute adjustments, doesn’t make a big mess. Exceeds expectations! Yes, the clear plastic top seems surprisingly flimsy for such an otherwise top notch machine, but it’s not enough of a complaint to dock any stars from my rating.

Pun intended. The Specialita is amazing, very silent and reliable. It’s heavier than I thought, for its size it’s something. The grind is fluffy and consistent.
