Eureka Mignon Specialita Espresso Grinder in Yellow
Eureka Mignon Specialita Overview
The Eureka Mignon Specialità is an all purpose grinder with 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs that give it the highest output in Eureka’s Mignon range. The touch screen display is a stand out feature for a grinder so small, making adjustment as easy as it should be. With its larger burrs, the Mignon Specialità can produce up to 1.8g of coffee per second for espresso, meaning it can produce a barista quality 18g double shot in as little as 10 seconds.
Features and Performance
First of all—the touch screen. We’re thrilled with how intuitive it is. It’s vibrant, with a large font size and clean controls. Grind time is adjustable in tenths of a second using the “+” and “-” buttons, and you can freely switch between single and double shots. Also, you can switch to a manual mode for continuous grinding, or lock in your timed settings to keep other people from fiddling.
For performance, it’s equipped with 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs and a strong 1350 RPM motor with an output of 1.4 – 1.8g/s for espresso and 1.9 – 2.5g/s for brew. Eureka’s ACE system helps prevent clumping by eliminating static in ground coffee, which in turn ensures dose consistency.
It’s quiet, measuring in at about 73 dBA, so you won’t ever need to stop a conversation to make your drinks. It brings Eureka’s patented micrometric adjustment, so you expect smooth, stepless adjustments when dialing in the grind. Plus, the portafilter holder fork is adjustable to work with any portafilter on the market.
Why You Should Get It
The Mignon Specialta is a superb espresso grinder, with it’s quiet grinding and touchscreen controls. The micrometric grind adjustment knob is one of the easiest ways to make very fine changes to grind size that we’ve experienced, as well. Plus, with a height of under 14 inches, this coffee and espresso grinder will fit just about anywhere. If you’re looking for a compact, espresso-focused grinder, this is the one for you.

Amazing grinder, worth the price of admission. The infinite adjustment wheel makes it easier actually to dial in the right grind (which I didn’t think would be the case.)
A grinder is a critical tool in being able to effortlessly make great espresso and coffee drinks.
The Specialitia is very quiet, durable, and aesthetic.

No issues in over a year of use. I would buy the same one again.
I am coming from both a Gaggia MDF grinder and I also owned a Cuisinart SmartGrinder pro. These grinders feel like toys comparably, particularly the SmartGrinder Pro. It just can’t achieve the luxuriously fine, very uniform espresso grinds that the Specialita can. And that is the key to making great coffee every day.
Yep, it was expensive. It’s almost hard to fathom paying this much for a grinder. But after you’ve done it, and the price sting has worn off, you’ll soon realize you’ve made a great choice and would do it again!

Just a super grinder. Takes a few cracks to get the timer setting dialed, as one would expect, and it works really well once set up. Not cheap, but a great step up from my Rancillio and I’m really digging the no clumps.

Looks beautiful next to my Rocket Mazziato. Doesn’t require a lot of room and adds a bright pop of color to my kitchen

Also great looking and not too huge on the countertop

This grinder looks great – modern design with a great touchscreen. Bean hopper plastic is a bit ‘cheap’ looking and not up to the standard of the solid base. Also the portafilter holder looks like a total afterthought – especially the way it fits into the base. Performance however is good – fast, consistent, quiet, easy to program. But – what a meRead more about review stating Pretty – messy!ss it makes when trying to dispense directly into the portafilter! And the location of the chute makes using a funnel almost impossible. I have reverted to dispensing into a dosing cup. With a few minor design improvements this grinder could’ve been so much better.

Love it so easy to setup the perfect espresso with those micro adjustments. This this the perfect combination with my Gaggia pro.
