The Eureka Mignon XL, in black, is the coffee grinder for at-home and professional baristas who want grind efficiency and an extremely low coffee retention, without sacrificing quality.
As part of ORO line, which draws inspiration from machines throughout Eureka’s 100-year history, the Mignon XL features a plethora of industry leading features like “Diamond Inside” burrs and “Silent Technology” grinding that are sure to impress.
Features and Performance
The Mignon XL measures at a height of 15in, width of 4.7in, depth of 7.1in, and a weight of 15.9lb. Included are Eureka’s patented “Diamond Inside” 65mm flat burrs that remain at optimal sharpness longer to ensure a more steady granulometry over time, as well as the presence of the ever-popular “Silent Technology” that allows the Mignon XL to remain at a maximum noise level of about 60dB, the same as a set of electric hair clippers.
Also included is a 300g bean hopper, an upgraded 1.650 RPM motor, an all-purpose adjustable rubber coated fork for hands-free operation, Eureka’s ELR System, which ensures a very low retention in the grinding chamber and a consistent dose amount, and a Mignon Mat Kit for easy and efficient cleaning.

The Oro Mignon XL checked all our boxes: the accuracy, albeit timer rather than weight, is amazing, the retention is truly minimal, and the incredible silent grinding is an absolute pleasure: with the Baratza we have to stop talking while it grinds, where as the soft sound of the Oro is almost pleasant and certainly not a conversation stopper, We measured: it is 90 Db versus 60 Db!!
Highly recommend for any serious home barista.
Very minor cons: The instruction book is not updated to the new non-screw hopper, which was a bit confusing, and there are 2 zip ties on the bottom, not mentioned or depicted in the book. They are apparently part of the construction which seemed odd for an otherwise perfectly designed product.
