Exclusively at Whole Latte Love, this custom version of the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige elevates its aesthetic with hydro-dipped panels that resemble Monaco walnut wood. The Gaggia’s Cadorna Prestige is a 100% Italian manufactured super-automatic machine made for the home barista. The bean-to-cup machine sports a full-color TFT screen display with backlight buttons to compliment its high-tech design. Users can access all of their favorite beverages, create & personalize user profiles, and access settings for increased usability.
Features & Performance
The Cadorna Prestige features 14 pre-programmed beverages including a ristretto, espresso, espresso lungo, coffee, americano, cappuccino, cappuccino XL, café au lait, café cortado, latte macchiato, latte macchiato XL, flat white, frothed milk, and hot water for tea, hot cocoa, or infusions, so you can play around with each beverage to craft something that you’ll really love. If you’re a fan of milk beverages, the Cadorna Prestige comes with an integrated milk carafe so milk never passes through the machine. With one touch, you can create a seamlessly layered latte macchiato or cappuccino XL with no hassle or extra steps needed. The carafe locks onto the machine, froths milk twice to get the perfect consistency and removes any large bubbles. Once it’s all said and done, it runs an automatic cleaning cycle to purge any milk residue out of the wand. From there, you can detach the carafe from the Cadorna Prestige and store it in your fridge for easy access next time—this is modern-day convenience at its finest.
The bean-to-cup machine also features 4 user profiles to use to your advantage. If you create something that you know will become a staple in your daily routine, you can program the beverage on the Cadorna Prestige to save your beverage for next time. We love the ability to create user profiles on the Cadorna Prestige because if you have multiple people using the machine, you won’t need to worry about anyone tinkering with your set profile or beverages. You can also create an espresso or milk-beverage of your choosing, and experiment with the grind setting, coffee temperature, the aroma and dosage using Gaggia’s Optiaroma system, and more which can all be saved to your own profile.
If you’re feeling for decaf or have some pre-ground coffee on hand, the Cadorna Prestige features a bypass doser with a measuring scoop, you can add just the right amount of coffee for a flavorful cup of joe to start off your day. The built-in burrs are made of ceramic to prevent overheating or burning your coffee and to boost the quality of your coffee’s flavor and aroma.

We have always used Costco’s Starbucks Espresso roast beans, a dark oily roast, and are still looking for an alternate due to the prohibition against dark, oily roast beans. We have tried mixing the Costco beans with HARFAN COFFEE Maromas Orhphea beans and with four shots, are able to achieve the 22 oz drink we are looking for however, the result is a great deal of surplus water in the drip tray. It could benefit from a larger water reservoir and less surplus water but all things considered, it is an excellent piece of kitchen equipment, Over all, we are most pleased and are certain we will learn to anticipate the machines quirks. I am upgrading from a Gaggia Classic that I’ve had for close to 20 years along with a Rancilio Rocky grinder. I’ve been happy with my daily latte, but getting tired of the long process to make it. The Cadorna is much more convenient and makes a large variety of drinks. However, they are close enough that I think the tradeoff is worth it and I do believe I can tweak the settings more to get even closer.

After at least 9 months of dedicated research on specs and reviews I finally drop the coin for the Gaggia Cadorna Prestige. I really wanted the Jura 8 but, due to the extra coinage it was slightly out of my reach. Finally, the first machine was ordered and shipped. Funny thing, just after I ordered it, the price dropped. I had not even received the machine yet.
Boom…finally the Cardona Prestige was received and setup. Oops, the grinder won’t work. After 2 hours of working with the NEW machine, I took out pieces of broken ceramic grinder. I packaged it up and filed for a replacement unit. The grinder was declared DOA. Well, after a few phone calls, support sent out a call tag for UPS and the broken machine was picked up.
About one week later my 2nd new machine arrived. It was setup following all of Mark’s instructions and the machine, once fine-tuned, produces perfect coffee drinks each and every time. As of this review, I have only been operating it for three nights, but so far, it has been an excellent addition to the house. Now, if I only had a little extra real-estate on my kitchen counters.
For those of you who don’t, make sure you save ALL the packing material and boxes until that warranty expires. The coffee I bought with the machine, HARFAN COFFEE Crema Wave….yeah…I am loving this one.
