Quick Mill Arnos Espresso Machine

Quick Mill Arnos Overview

The Quick Mill Arnos is a standout semi-automatic espresso machine with all the features you want in high-end brewing equipment. HX boiler, PID control, a vibration pump, and a sharp appearance bring the Arnos to the top of our recommended list.

Features and Performance

The Quick Mill Arnos features a 1.8 liter stainless steel boiler coupled with an LED PID temperature controller which doubles as a shot timer. Along with the ever-iconic E61 brew group, you can expect rocksteady temperature stability shot to shot. Plus, with the heat exchanger boiler, you can brew and steam at the same time. Brew and steam pressure are monitored by the colorful dual manometer. With the commercial style steam wand, you can froth and texture milk exactly how you like and prepare lattes and cappuccinos just like you would get at a local cafe.

With the Arnos, you can use the 84 oz water reservoir, accessed directly from the top of the machine. For steam and hot water controls, the Arnos features joystick controls to begin dispensing with a flick of the wrist.

Couldn’t be happier with this upgrade from a venerable PID-modded Gaggia Classic. Quickmill may not have the reputation for exquisite finish of an ECM, but I find nothing to fault in the finish and I will take the all-stainless-steel construction every day: I cannot fathom why the great majority of E61 machines have painted/powder-coated carbon stRead more about review stating Beautiful, corrosion-resistant, functional and upgradeableeel frame. For a machine that should last decades, where the frame is exposed daily to humid conditions, this is an unforgivable bit of penny-pinching. So that criterion alone narrowed my search to Bezzera and Quickmill (there may be others but that’s one question the otherwise excellent HFC support staff didn’t help with, other than confirming the construction of my target machines). I was tempted by the Bezzera Aria for the plumbed option, but between the price, the more-spacious layout and the cool-touch wands, the Arnos is the best fit for my needs. I LOVE the cool-touch wands! SO much easier to wipe down than the Silvia wand on my Gaggia!

Since I mainly make milk drinks, I am happy without flow profiling, but I like that it will be an available future upgrade in the unlikely event that I end up feeling held back by the machine. As to milk drinks, the steaming power is perfect: more-than-adequate power, but very manageable.

Purchased the Quick Mill Arnos after watching AJ’s review (nice job AJ) and couldn’t be happier. Initially I was between the pro500, Arnos, and Creme One HX. I decided on the Arnos for the joystick controls, eye level p.i.d/ shot timer, beautiful polished steel, parts quality, dual portafilter’s and dual manometers. This machine is solid and the lRead more about review stating Work Horseever, joysticks all have a robust feel. Even the base is solid steel and offers boiler access for future maintenance. The steam wand and hot water arm are solid construction as well, and stay fixed in their positions when in use. My machine came with the opv set spot on from HARFAN COFFEE (thanks guys) and is reading 10 bar (which should register 9 at the group per AJ). If an adjustment needs to be made on this model it’s simple as the opv is located directly on top of the machine, hidden under the cup tray surface. Just remember to use the blind disk when adjusting. Steaming power is phenomenal! I adjusted the boiler temp to 261 (which should be about 200 at the group) and steam will build to around 1.5bar, tapering off to 1.2 while under strenuous use (think 16 to 20oz of milk). Clean-up is a breeze as the large drip tray holds 46oz. If I had one complaint, it would be the welds in the drip tray could be better, but that’s tire kicking/minor imo. Also (ok give me 1 more) there was a sticker slapped on the vent holes above the boiler that blocked heat. When I peeled it off I had to carefully work to remove the gummy residue. All in all I would still pick this machine. Thanks again for the video’s, training and customer care you all provided @HFC! Cheers

I’m upgrading from a Gaggia Classic that did the trick for 3+ years. However, stepping up to the Arnos is a game changer. First the machine looks great, the build quality is top notch and all stainless so no cheap plastic. The HX works well for my purposes and produces consistently good shots. It did take a couple of days to get dialed in though -Read more about review stating Amazing machine and great service from HARFAN COFFEE my learning curve and not the machine’s fault.

I did take off a star for the brew pressure not being set right out of the box. It was fully open so I had to adjust it. Not a big deal since it’s easy to do.I did have to spend 15 mins reviewing how to do it to get it working.

Overall, I’d give it 4.75 stars and the HARFAN COFFEE sales service was awesome. They helped me compare across a few different machines so that I ended up happy. Thank you so much!

his may be our fifth expresso machine. The last one, a Pasquini, also from HARFAN COFFEE , lasted over twenty years. We love the look and feel of the Arnos. It is retro and modern simultaneously. Quality design and construction. It will be noticed by your guests.
