Rocket Espresso Faustino Grinder in Matte Black
Rocket Espresso Faustino Grinder Overview
The Rocket Espresso Faustino is a fashionably small grinder with simple functionality for easy grinding. This is one of the smallest grinders we’ve had the opportunity to test and yet it has the performance a good espresso deserves. Rocket Espresso fine tuned features like the dosing funnel, the micrometric adjustment knob, the touchscreen, and more to improve this already-great espresso grinder.
Features and Performance
The star feature boasted by the Faustino is its stepless micrometric adjustments, giving it nearly unlimited grind settings to play with. The 50mm steel burrs can be adjusted with the micrometric adjustment knob near the hopper which moves only the bottom burr when adjusting the grind setting. In short, this means that you won’t have to readjust your grind setting after cleaning the burrs and grinding chamber, and it only takes removing three screws to take out the top burr for cleaning. The screwless design of the top burr means you’re getting an extremely smooth surface for grinding, which helps cut down on retention. Plus, the Rocket Espresso Faustino is equipped with anti-vibration technology that allows it to grind very quietly.
The Faustino was designed to be a smaller version of Rocket Espresso’s Macinatore Fausto grinder, but the small size doesn’t mean that you’re sacrificing quality with this espresso grinder. The sleek design features the Rocket Espresso logo that will match perfectly with your favorite Rocket Espresso machine, and the clean lines keep all the functionality without looking too busy. With design changes like a new look for the dosing funnel, moving the micrometric adjustment knob from the front to the back top right corner of the machine, and a new pin to lock all portafilters in place, you’re not sacrificing quality for size. Plus, if you want to load up your coffee in advance of grinding, the Faustino’s hopper can hold up to 1.5 pounds of beans, just like the Macinatore Fausto.
A small touchscreen display keeps everything neat and simple with the option to choose between a single dose, double dose, triple dose, or manual dosing. Visually, the display has a clean design and all UI elements are arranged for easy reading. For hands-free grinding, you can just leave the portafilter in the holder, press your desired amount, and watch the Faustino dispense fluffy grounds from the chute. You can easily adjust your grind settings for a single, double, or triple dose down to 1/10 of a second. Plus, the continuous grind button allows you to manually grind when you’re trying to find the right timing while dialing in or if you need to top off your grounds.
Why You Should Get It
Rocket’s Faustino is certainly pretty to look at, and with its solid features and small footprint, this espresso grinder can be a useful addition to your coffee setup. Whether your priority is hands-free grinding, an easy-to-use touchscreen, micrometric stepless adjustments, or just a sleek looking grinder that will fit in with the rest of your kitchen, the Faustino is perfect for you.

The appearance, size and brand are what drew me to this machine. There is definitely a learning curve for a newbie like me but overall I am pleased. The bean holder gets tightened by an allen wrench that was not provided so mine is a bit wiggly.

Very quiet . Nice screen . Very simple to operate . Love the pause function . Would have liked a little more space between the portafilter and the nozzle where the coffee comes out tough.

Who knew that fractions of a second could make so much difference to our morning coffee ritual. The grind and time control are totally worth it – great fun fine-tuning the grind and time
