Rocket Espresso Macinatore Fausto Grinder in Chrome
Owning the Rocket Espresso Macinatore Fausto
Rocket’s Macinatore Fausto is designed with elegance and ease in mind. This stepless grinder is infinitely adjustable, so you can make the tiniest adjustments while dialing in your grind without being limited to a set amount of steps. Adjusting the grind size is easy using the micrometric adjustment knob, which repositions the bottom burr rather than the top. So, when you need to take off the top burr to clean it doesn’t affect your setting; meaning, you can go straight back to grinding shots at the same exact setting as before. If that sounds familiar, you may be thinking of Eureka’s patented micrometric regulation system and burr design, and you’d be right. The Fausto is a Rocket branded Eureka grinder, and features all their innovative elements. It’s also programmable by time, our favorite feature. So you can easily program the Fausto to dispense a single or double shot of espresso on demand, that are adjustable within 1/10th of a second.
Programming the Fausto is easy, and doesn’t require any menu navigation. Instead, you can simply select the shot you’d like to program on the touch screen display and press the plus or minus icons until the screen displays your preferred time. You can also grind manually by pressing the single and double shot icons simultaneously. Fluffy grinds dispense evenly down the chute into the center of your resting portafilter which is propped up for hands free grinding. To access the large 65mm burrs for cleaning, or just to swap between roasts, the hopper can be stopped and easily removed. The Macinatore Fausto is available in chrome or black, and features Rocket’s signature branding. It not only looks the part standing next to any of the machines in Rocket’s line, its knockout high-performance will keep pace with any of them too.

Single/double settings , easy to dial in, grinds even and consistently. Looks very pretty too.

This grinder is a good match for our ECM Synchronika. Very easy to fine tune a grind… and ability to clean without losing the last setting is awesome. I do find some mild clumping but nothing major. Timed dosing is a piece of cake, and the retention is minimal. I do wish it had the ability to clamp on the portafilter, as the ECM portafilters wilRead more about review stating Rocket Fausto in Blackl tip if you don’t hold on while grinding… but not a big deal. Hopper seems a bit flimsy even with the screw in… but likely no worse than other brands. Love the looks of the black unit.

I bought it along with a Rocket R58. They match each other aesthetically.
Pros:
Large flat burrs and a powerful motor.
Ergonomics holder for portafilters.
Great details.
Cons:
Very “enough to use” functions.
Very “concise” user manual.
Very confusing fine-coarse control.
It simply works and it iRead more about review stating Decent grinders great in hard details. It could be better with more soft details.

Well built, easy-to-use, and super intuitive user interface. Perfect size for under-the-cabinet placement. Would have given it 5 stars, but unit arrived not calibrated correctly. Would not grind fine enough for espresso. Did some on-line research and determined that many of these units were not set correctly at the factory and simply loosening theRead more about review stating Well built, easy-to-use, and super adjust knob, rotating to “5”, then retightening the screw correctly calibrates the grinder.

Great size and reasonably quiet. Grinds very uniformly.

Love this matching. Love the coffee that can make.

The grind performance of the machine is great, if you can get the coffee into the grinder. I have to shake the hopper while the grinder is operating, otherwise the beans don’t fall into the machine. Very frustrating!
