Gaggia Brera Espresso Machine in Black
Gaggia Brera Overview
The Gaggia Brera is a compact Italian made espresso machine with authentic stainless steel accenting. Designed with convenience in mind, the Brera has just two buttons for espresso and long coffee and features an adaptive system that optimizes grinding times for your coffee. For café favorites like cappuccinos and lattes, the pannarello steam wand flattens the learning curve for rich airy milk foam.
Features and Performance
Capable and compact, the Brera delivers on performance and value. At just 10” wide and 12.4” tall, you’ll have no problem fitting this machine in your kitchen. When brewing, coffee is ground fresh using a 5 setting ceramic burr grinder, and you can tailor your desired strength to one of 3 settings. Based on your grind and strength, the Brera will automatically adjust its grind cycle to optimize the coffee dose for your extraction, becoming more accurate with each shot. You can also load pre-ground coffee directly into the group via the bypass doser.
Specialty milk drinks can be easily prepared with the pannarello steam wand. By positioning the selector switch to the left, the Brera will produce steam, allowing you to froth milk. The design of the pannarello wand produces rich milk foam with minimal technique required for the perfect homemade cappuccino. You can also produce hot water for drinks like Americanos, tea, and cocoa by positioning the selector switch to the right.
Capacity wise, the Brera has a 40 oz water reservoir, 8.8oz bean hopper, and can hold up to 9 spent pucks of coffee. The drip tray holds up to 28 oz of water, and the brew spouts can fit cups up to 4.5” tall which is enough clearance for a standard American coffee mug. Maintenance alerts will also keep you informed when you need to refill the water reservoir, add more beans, empty the dreg drawer, or descale.

The product is very simple to use, the only issue is I don’t like the plastic cover that is covering grinder, otherwise it is quite and precise in dialing your coffee/espresso, it requires very little space and you have access to pucks dispenser and water container from the front of the machine. I like products with simple features easy access forRead more about review stating The product is very simple maintenance, reliable and last for a long time, I think I made the correct choice when I bought the Gaggia Brera

My mornings have improved thanks to the Gaggia Brera and HARFAN COFFEE. Great little machine — easily handles the basics and steaming is easier than with my former machine.
HARFAN COFFEE Love provided great information and fantastic shipping.

In learning to use and getting to know the Brera that I purchased from HARFANCOFFEE, I have two major complaints:
1) The dregs drawer is poorly designed. It has a very low back wall, which turns on the empty light when as few as three pucks are in the drawer. Worse still, that back wall allows a ton of dregs to spill into the under and behinRead more about review stating Good coffee. Serious flaws.d the drawer, a space that’s very hard to clean.
2) The bypass dose mode should NEVER revert to the grind mode after a single use. I always brew multiple shots using the bypass, and it’s maddening pressing the next shot and hearing the grinder start, screwing up my coffee. The bypass mode should stay on for 5 minutes. If a user pushes the brew button without dosing, all they waste is water.
Gripes aside, when the coffee does come out right, it’s quite good, and my experience with HARFANCOFFEE has been wholly positive.

Ok, so this machine does make perfect coffee. But it has a few drawbacks. First of all, when it goes through the cleaning cycle after powering up and when shutting down, the water goes into the tray, not into the cup like on the older Gaggia machines. The tray itself is very small, so it will fill quickly and you’ll end up cleaning it out often. IRead more about review stating Makes Great Coffee, but has some drawbacks.n my case, twice a day. Also, the water tank is extremely small, so after only two cups of coffee, you’ll have to refill it. I’m using the water filter, so it reduces the tank capacity even more.
So after 3 weeks of use, I’m fairly happy. I just hope the machine lasts at least 10 years, like the previous ones I’ve had.
