The Eureka Mignon Silenzio is an all purpose grinder with simple manual controls a series of subtle features under the hood.
Features and Performance
For those controls, the Mignon Silenzio uses a push-button to switch between timed and manual modes, and a dial for adjusting grind time. It’s a quiet grinder, measuring in at about 73 dBA, so you won’t ever need to stop a conversation to make your drinks. It brings Eureka’s patented micrometric adjustment, so you expect smooth, stepless adjustments when dialing in the grind.
For performance, it’s equipped with 50 mm flat hardened steel burrs and a strong 1350 RPM motor. Eureka’s ACE system helps prevent clumping by eliminating static in ground coffee, which in turn ensures dose consistency.
Why You Should Get It
The Mignon Silenzio does exactly what it’s name suggests; it grinds very quietly, and it does so efficiently. The micrometric grind adjustment knob is one of the easiest ways to make very fine changes to grind size that we’ve experienced, as well. The build and look of the Eureka is amazing. It grinds perfect fluffy grinds. The adjustment wheel is infinite. You will turn the dial clockwise and counter-clockwise infinitely. So I don’t recommend you grind for multipurpose grinding (I wouldn’t go from French press back to espresso.) I would only use that as a point of reference. It is stepless. So you can make very minor adjustments. Bottomline… it’s a great grinder.

Love how quiet this grinder is. Timer gives excellent, consistent doses and the super-fine adjustment lets me get the grind just right. I did end up getting a dosing funnel to keep the grinds on the counter to a minimum. Super happy with the purchase.

Took me a while to find the right grind setting, but once I got it, it’s been great. Obviously have to adjust for different beans, but I’m learning! Wish there was a video on HarfanCoffee to facilitate learning with this specific grinder more. Hint hint wink wink

The machine is quiet and sturdy. The use of a scale helps in the dialing in process. Once the grind and times are set to get the correct weight and brew pressure/time the coffee taste is clearly improved relative to my conical grinder.
