Bezzera Magica PID Espresso Machine

Bezzera Magica PID Overview

The Bezzera Magica PID is a classically designed heat exchanger espresso machine, decked out in beautifully polished stainless steel with spring loaded steam and hot water taps. Its 2 liter copper boiler conducts heat quickly, and being a HX machine you can brew and steam simultaneously. With a wide frame that supports multiple cups and a massive 4 liter water reservoir make the Magica PID an ideal machine for entertaining.

Features and Performance

The Magica PID’s 2 liter copper boiler and E61 group ensure temperature stability throughout the brewing process. The inclusion of a PID controller helps to prevent swings in boiler temperatures and allows you to make changes on the fly from the exterior of the machine. As with all heat exchanger machines, you can brew and steam simultaneously, so whether your making a solo drink in the morning before work, or entertaining multiple guests, the Magica PID is ready to pull double duty.

On the outside, the Magica PID embodies the retro Italian design that comes naturally to Bezzera. The iconic E61 group with the Bezzera portafilters, steam and hot water joysticks, dual pressure gauges, and of course the iconic Biscione logo make for a timeless aesthetic. Not a small machine, the Magica PID’s wide drip tray provides ample space for cups, while the cup warmer itself has plenty of room for cappuccino/latte drinkware.

Espresso is brewed with a traditional vibration pump with a more gradual ramp up to full brew pressure. Unlike most home machines, the reservoir on the Magica PID holds 4 liters of water, making refills less frequent than usual.

Been eyeing a prosumer machine for a few years and finally decided to jump in. After much research and comparison shopping, I narrowed in on this machine and have been satisfied ever since. The machine is easy to use, super for steaming/frothing as well as hot water for Americanos. Love the large water tank…I can get 2-3 days between refills. Kudos to HFC for the help in in answering way too many questions and pointing me in the right direction for some ancillary supplies I wasn’t sure about. They’re support videos are also a winner

The Magica was a 40th bday gift my wife and I gave each other. I did a ton of research, watched many videos and almost went with a dual boiler until I found this. Great copper tank and reservoir size, great power, heats up quickly. I could not find a lot of reviews so I called HFC to get an opinion, and they said go with Magica. Happy we did!Read more about review stating Really Love Our Magica

This machine is not terribly loud either. We have a two year old and does not wake him up.

Happy we saved almost $1000 by not going with a mid-range dual boiler and went with the high-end heat exchanger. Could not be happier with the customer service and very fast shipping. Thanks HARFAN COFFEE!

I walked into the idea of purchasing an Espresso machine a complete novice. I didn’t know a thing…other than the desired outcome. My initial budget was $500 or less, which put me in a certain range of options. Curiously, I wasn’t satisfied and kept reading and learning more. I’m the kind of guy who wants to buy high quality products and is williRead more about review stating Magica is indeed magicalng to pay if it means high quality and stellar service. After an extensive amount of time doing research on the machine that would serve me best – including reviewing handy You Tube videos on products created by HARFAN COFFEE, I kept coming back to the Bezzera Magica. So, I pulled the trigger…and I’m truly blown away by this machine. High quality materials and build. Accurate gauges and mechanisms. User friendly for this novice to become an instant expert…with a little effort, of course. My first espresso pulls were perfection. (Sure, I’ve messed up a little since but I’ve learned so much as I go along!) I love the history behind this company, the quality components in the machine and the service I’ve gotten thus far from HARFAN COFFEE. HFC has been communicative about anything and everything along the way, and has bent over backwards to make sure I was good with my machine. I also have the confidence knowing I’m backed by a 3 year warranty with HFC — so — I feel like I’m in great shape going forward. The bad news (for me!) is that now I’m eyeing a grinder! This could get out of hand rapidly! In all seriousness, though, I’m really happy to support HFC as well as Bezzera. Excited to make espresso like a pro now!

This espresso machine is a TRUE pedigree espresso machine by hand built quality, quality materials, and a long history of the company’s operation (est. 1906) using quality parts in the assembly of each machine, built at the factory, using parts which the majority are made “in house”, ensuring supreme built & performance, at well below competinRead more about review stating Bezzera Magica does magic with Espresso!g prices.
Their simple Deco design and stainless steel shell, with quality black high gloss plastic levers which can lock into position in one direction, while the opposite allows to use hand force to activate but stops once you let go, making it very easy in the making of espresso. Also, its large water capacity, ensures fewer times to fill.
This moderate price machine has the best price point of any of its type and features, saving you $, without lessening the quality of the materials used for its construction.

This heirloom item, beautifies the kitchen by its design and construction, and the mirror shine polish of the stainless steel housing will have you proud of owning. This machine will not disappoint!
