The Vario W + in White comes with robust internals, macro and micro steps of adjustment, and an accurate integrated scale. With these tools, you can easily unlock repeatable, precision grind quality at home. In other words, your grinder does all the hard work, so all you have to do is pick a weight and hit go! The W+ comes with programmable weight-based grinding and an accurate integrated scale that allows users to automatically dose on demand.
Features and Performance
The Vario W+ in White is an updated version of the beloved Vario W, now with a newly updated high-visibility backlit LCD and modernized user interface that makes setting up a preset for any of the three different brew methods an absolute breeze.
The Baratza Vario W+ is just as easy to use and program as the standard Vario. The grind can be fine tuned within a range of 250 to 1150 microns by adjusting the macro and micro sliders on the Vario W+’s face. Micro adjustments are made in between macro settings for the most possible refinement of the grind.
While the Vario W+ can easily accommodate any brew method, it’s important to note that the container needs to be in place in order for it to operate, so no swapping to a portaholder on this grinder. The burrs are high quality 54mm stainless steel that are perfect for multipurpose grinding for both brew methods and espresso.

My wife is my Barista and she loves it, we switched from the Breville to the Baratza, it’s quieter it puts out a lower frequency when grinding which is less annoying. I wish it would come with a hopper that can be removed and closed so the beans don’t fall out. We will add that.

Baratza sent me pieces to fix this with detailed instructions that were easy to follow, and it is doing well. It is a good thing I don’t vary my grind settings on that one often as I only use it for a Drip Coffee Maker.
My assumption when buying the second one is that Baratza has incorporated this fix into the latest one I purchased. The second one will be used for everything from Cold Brew, to Drip, and in an emergency, Espresso if my Rocket Fausto breaks (highly Unlikely). I still worry about the Adjustment Tabs!
The grind quality from this grinder is simply spectacular. I cannot say anything bad about the consistency of the grind and the power of the grinder. I love it!

Good grinder that does nearly everything I need it to. I bought this for the price and the ability to grind for multiple new methods. It isn’t as coarse as I was expecting for French press, but I am not disappointed with its adjustability grinding for espresso, however. For the price point, you would be hard pressed to beat it.
