Features and Performance
The Cadorna Barista Plus features 6 pre-programmed beverages for your convenience, including a ristretto, espresso, espresso lungo, coffee, Americano, and hot water for tea, hot cocoa, or infusions. You can play around with each beverage to craft something that you’ll really love whether it’s a flat white or a standard espresso. If you created something that you know will become a staple in your daily routine, you can program the beverage on the machine by creating one of four available user profiles and saving it for next time.
We love the ability to create user profiles on the Cadorna Barista Plus because if you have multiple people using the machine, you won’t need to worry about anyone tinkering with your set profile or beverages. You can create an espresso or milk-beverage of your choosing, and experiment with the grind setting, coffee temperature, the aroma and dosage using Gaggia’s Optiaroma system, and more which can all be saved to your own profile.

I got this machine to replace my trusty old Saeco that, sadly, ,bit the dust. This machine is better in almost every way. The coffee is superb, and easily customized. My family loves the favorites menu. The steam is great, very energetic, with a really great wand. But, I find the method of using the steam awkward. With a steam knob on my old machine, that was really easy. But to get steam on this machine you need to select steam from the menu, press start, then wait a few seconds. You need to do that for each step (purge, steam, purge). Ok, it’s not the end of the world, and the steam is great, but it’s awkward. Maybe that’s just the nature of a thermoblock system, since there’s no steam boiler per se. Anyway, I’m still very happy with the system, and HarfanCoffe has been great to deal with.
I do wish the water tank was bigger. 1.8l sounded big enough, but the machine does a pretty big rinse each time it turns on or off, so the water goes very quickly. Again ,just a nit, not a deal killer.

I am satisfied with the machine. It replaced a gaggia academia. There are things you should know about the machine. Out of the box there is a warning to not use oily coffee or dark coffee. I went out and purchased some medium roast coffee. On the academia I found the best coffee was a fine grind. I set the machine to the finest grind and after 20 Read more about review stating great coffee lives oncups of coffee the grinder was clogged. I had to take the machine apart to unclog it. I reset the grinding setting to less fine and I have not had a problem. The unclogging process was simple, but there is no video on the whole latte love website on this machine. There is a video on a similar machine which was helpful. Since I unclogged it and changed the setting there have been no more problems.
