The second-generation La Marzocco GB5 carries on the spirit of its predecessors: a machine rooted in classical European design coupled with cutting-edge performance. The new GB5 S features a revamped visual identity and modernizes the machine without sacrificing the look, premium feel, or dynamic elegance.
Two red lilies on side shields recall Florentine heritage, while the front panel has been redesigned to increase group visibility. the GB5 S is the first series of machines equipped with a water sensor that measures conductivity and hardness as it enters the machine; this information allows users to monitor water quality and verify filtration performance without the need for additional testing tools

Excellent uniform espresso grind. The two options for turning on the machine come in handy. It is quiet. Seems very solid. Weight does not necessarily equate to quality of construction but this seems to be a well-built machine. If you turn the dial to coarser it works very well in my drip coffee machine.

This is my first big boy grinder. Unbelievably quite, retention is negligible (I use it as an SD), dialing it in was fairly quick.. I had a lot of fun and got pretty wired up doing it 😉 All in all I’d buy this brand again for sure if something happened to this tank.

We love this grinder. It’s quiet, easy to adjust. It is hard to get a consistent quantity each time as there is not timer. Once we get used to it I’m sure we’ll be able to eyeball it a little more consistently.
