Eureka Mignon Specialita Espresso Grinder in Tiffany Blue

Eureka Mignon Specialita Overview

The Eureka Mignon Specialità is an all purpose grinder with 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs that give it the highest output in Eureka’s Mignon range. The touch screen display is a stand out feature for a grinder so small, making adjustment as easy as it should be. With its larger burrs, the Mignon Specialità can produce up to 1.8g of coffee per second for espresso, meaning it can produce a barista quality 18g double shot in as little as 10 seconds.

Features and Performance

First of all—the touch screen. We’re thrilled with how intuitive it is. It’s vibrant, with a large font size and clean controls. Grind time is adjustable in tenths of a second using the “+” and “-” buttons, and you can freely switch between single and double shots. Also, you can switch to a manual mode for continuous grinding, or lock in your timed settings to keep other people from fiddling.

For performance, it’s equipped with 55 mm flat hardened steel burrs and a strong 1350 RPM motor with an output of 1.4 – 1.8g/s for espresso and 1.9 – 2.5g/s for brew. Eureka’s ACE system helps prevent clumping by eliminating static in ground coffee, which in turn ensures dose consistency.

It’s quiet, measuring in at about 73 dBA, so you won’t ever need to stop a conversation to make your drinks. It brings Eureka’s patented micrometric adjustment, so you expect smooth, stepless adjustments when dialing in the grind. Plus, the portafilter holder fork is adjustable to work with any portafilter on the market.

Why You Should Get It

The Mignon Specialta is a superb espresso grinder, with it’s quiet grinding and touchscreen controls. The micrometric grind adjustment knob is one of the easiest ways to make very fine changes to grind size that we’ve experienced, as well. Plus, with a height of under 14 inches, this coffee and espresso grinder will fit just about anywhere. If you’re looking for a compact, espresso-focused grinder, this is the one for you.

5 reviews for Eureka Mignon Specialita Espresso Grinder in Tiffany Blue

  1. Adele Vasiljeva

I’ve had many grinders, and this one has so much going for it. For one, just look at it! So beautiful… and this is the quietest grinder I’ve every owned. Once dialed in, it pours out a beautiful stream of evenly ground espresso into the portafilter. 18 grams of beans come out in about 11.5 seconds. The front touch panel is beautifully sharp and Read more about review stating my 4th espresso grinderbright. My only nitpicks are the cheap feeling portafilter holder that has sharp unfinished edges. (I don’t even use that because I’m single dosing and just hold the portafilter by hand) The other problem is the dial adjustment is very sensitive and infinitely adjustable. I was used to the Vario grinder with the coarse and fine adjustment numbers and click stops, but once dialed it, the Specialita makes making coffee a pleasure

  2. Mārtiņš Andersons

I’ve had the Eureka Mignon Specialita for a couple weeks now. I’m a big fan. It’s quiet, doses accurately, and creates fluffy grinds. Additionally, it doesn’t take up too much counter space in the kitchen. Great design. Dialing it in was easy, especially with the help of a few YouTube videos specifically regarding this machine. Great buy.

  3. Valters Neilands

Purchased this Eureka Specialita grinder from HarfanCoffe after getting recommendations from sales reps from multiple companies. The grinder is super easy to adjust and has a very bright, easy to read screen. Kudos for that. The Specialita is quieter than my old Rancilio Rocky, and produces more consistent grinds. The portafilter support functions just fiRead more about review stating Fairly Quiet; Consistent Grind; Cheesy hopper.ne, but is made from punched metal with rough (not sharp) edges. Functional, yet unattractive. Seems like an afterthought. My only major disappointment is the hopper: It is made out of thin cast plastic with an extremely tight fitting lid. The lid is tight, not for precision, but because there is a slight warp in the geometry of the thin plastic hopper, which creates pinch points. The lid needs to be pried with the fingernails of one hand while the thin plastic hopper is held with the other hand. Eureka should invest more time and thought into the hopper.

  4. Artūrs Lejiņš

Love the quietness and speed with which this operates, and the infinite grind adjustment. The hooper is really cheap, however, and I’m not sure why it attaches with a screw that requires a screwdriver every time you want to remove it — makes changing beans really inconvenient.

  5. Valters Muciņš

Five star machine with a three star hopper lid. Hard to remove it and the hopper is a little wobbly on its small base. Otherwise very quiet and a nice grind. Wish it had an easier way to manually grind (dedicated button). Overall recommend.
